The NHL matches played between Predators and Sharks on October 7 and 8 will be played in Prague, Czech Republic.

Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Czech Foreign Ministry earlier said that Russian players are not welcome in Prague but this stand was reversed by the government.

San Jose Sharks have 2 players from russian origin named Alexander Barabanov and Evgeny Svechnikov. While Predators have 1 russian player named Yakov Trenin.

Till now there have been 5 NHL regular seasons played in Czech Republic. NHL is a global league for hockey, it has around 30 percent of players outside of North America.

In the current month of October, Roman Josi and Nino of the Predators team will play matches in their home country of Switzerland.
