Freshman Jimmy Snuggerud completes hat trick against Mavericks

On Friday night, Gophers had a match against Mavericks where Jimmy Snuggerud made his hat trick making the score 4-1 win. It feels good for the Gophers as previously they were eliminated continuously for 2 years by the Mavericks.

Cooley assisted Snuggerud for his 1st goal as he backhanded the puck on net which was loose in the crease so that Snuggerud could sneak in.

Snuggerud was very happy for his hat trick, he said that he grew up here watching all the games and crowd chants for the teams and now is a player himself.

His Coach Bob Motzko remarked that he was frustrated last week due to the fact that he was unable to score a goal. Coach consoled him by telling him that frustration is like a bad date.

Rhett Pitlick, Cooley and Snuggerud are prospering on a line early — a serious reason why the Minnesota Gophers are 3-0. The trio has combined for eleven points through three games and is the epitome of an energy-boosting line.
