Defenseman Andy Greene retires from NHL

Andy Greene will turn 40 year old within a month on October 30, he has ended his NHL career after playing 16 seasons.

His last game was with the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. Mr. Andy an inhabitant of Michigan has made 52 goals and 212 assists in around 1000 games played for the Devils and the New York Islanders.

As he played his last game with the Devils, he with his family will be honored by the team in the ceremonial puck drop later.

His first NHL game was in 2007 a year after his coming out of University as an undrafted free agent. Andy quoted “I was lucky enough to sing an NHL contract with the Devils”.

The one amazing fact to consider is that he played his first and last match with the New Jersey Devils. He quoted “You have treated not only me, but more importantly my family”.
