Charlie Lindgren stops 38 shots for the Capitals for a 6-3 win

On Monday, the Washington Capitals had a match with the New Jersey Devils where Charlie Lindgren showed an amazing performance. He stopped 38 shots from the Devils and was the star netminder of the match.

He was signed by the Capitals for a 3 year contract in free agency. The team knew that he had potential and he showed that same in the Monday match.

The Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin praised Lindgren following the victory on twitter. He quoted “Chuckie today was unstoppable”.

Charlie is a backup netminder in the team, he is proving to be a solid addition to the team. Although his first game of the season, which was held on the 13th october was a loss to the Maple Leafs.

After the Monday match victory, he was awarded the post game fire rope for his efforts.
